We operate our applications on commonly known cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. Therefore, we need knowledgeable senior support to provide best-in-class services for our customers while scaling up our business quickly.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Together with your colleagues, you will perform the following tasks:

• Supporting and ensuring the software operation of our platforms under SLA conditions in 24/7 operation
• Development of concepts and decision-bases on an operational-technical level
• Planning, setup, installation, documentation, and administration of complex software environments and security structures
• Processing of incident reports (2nd and 3rd level support) during normal working hours, as well as during 24/7 on-call service
• Collaboration in various internal and external projects
• Presentation of results and solutions to departments and management

REQUIREMENTS

• Very good knowledge in the use of contemporary technologies in the cloud environment, e.g. Docker, Docker Swarm, LXC, Kubernetes, service discovery systems such as consul, etcd, Apache Kafka, S3 file hosting services, and use of Java-based applications in the cloud environment
• Very good knowledge of operating cloud-based applications and automating infrastructures: automation and orchestration with e.g. Ansible, monitoring, and logging using e.g. Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana, Graylog, ELK, use of GIT to automate continuous rollouts (CI /CD pipelines)
• Knowledge of software development using the Java programming language is an advantage
• Good German and English skills in written and spoken

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

• Several years of experience in a comparable position
• Degree in computer science/communications engineering or a comparable course of study or completed training as an IT specialist
• Certifications are not necessary but will have a positive impact on your application. In addition, your willingness for further education and certification is required
